This page is a short description of housing in the various cities in which ESN Italy is operating. 

The first row specifies wether or not that university has a specific housing programme for Erasmus and exchange students. Non all the links are available, but in 90% of the cases, YES means that you will be probably contacted by the hosting University or International Relation Office (IRO) before your Erasmus. NO means that there is not a specific programme, but in most cases you will be counted as a regular student. In these cases we higly suggest looking for private accommodation because many times you will have to fill lots of paperwork and probably not be eligible, since low income full degree students are usually assured a place first. 

The second row is realted to the first. Usually, if the answer in the first row is YES and in the second row is YES, then you will most likely have a place in the dorm and it will be provided by the IRO. If the first row is YES and the second row NO then the university will probably organize some private housing for you. In the first row is NO and the second is YES it means that you can access it as a regular student, so we reccomend looking in the private market for the reasons mentioned before. 

The third row shows wether the ESN Section has a housing programme. Keep in mind that even if it says NO, the section will always be available to help out in some way, through formal or informal channels. 

Many Universities offer housing through an external agency (usually publicly funded) which is usually also in charge of grants. These agencies will most likely contact you before hand and univerities should send you all the documents you need to fill in before your arrival.
