The second Erasmus Sport Week by ESN Italy will take place from February 19th to 25th, 2018!
After the great success of the first Erasmus Sport Week in October 2017, ESN Italy and its sections are ready to celebrate the sport activities as important way of integration and culture exchange. To stimulate the creativity of the italian ESN sections, ESN Italy will set the spotlight on amazing sport milestones: let's start with the recent opening ceremony of Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

North Korea and South Korea marched in together at the inauguration ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The flag was carried by two athletes, one for each Korea; moreover, for the occasion, the delegation wore a special uniform with the flag of the Korean unification. "PyeonChang 2018, hopefully, will open the door to a brighter future for the Korean peninsula - commented Thomas Bach, president of the IOC - the Olympic spirit is made of respect, dialogue, understanding. United in our diversity, we are stronger than all the forces that want to divide us. The Games show us the world as we all would like it to be". The flag of the Korean unification was used for the first time in 1991 at the 41st world table tennis championship held in Chiba (Japan) and at the 6th youth soccer world championship held in Lisbon. It was used during the opening of three Olympic Games: Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Torino 2006; on these occasions 2 athletes representing the two parts of the peninsula brought it jointly but then during the events the two countries competed separately.
